After a recent trip to Nicaragua's Pacific coast, we've officially been bitten by the travel bug. Next up on our list? We're hoping to hit up South America, and specifically, Peru.
Our plan? To start in Lima, Peru, and specifically, at Hotel B, a boutique hotel located in the bohemian neighborhood of Barranco that we came across in Rue.Peru's amazing indigenous ruins and incredible landscapes are no small potatoes, and recently, Peru has been put on the map as one of those cultural hotspots for folks who love the marriage of design, food, art, and all that falls in between the two.

Says Rue: "Once a Belle Epoque seaside retreat, the building was restored by a team of French and Italian architects, carpenters and sculptors. A three story annex was built along side the original structure with a gorgeous patio in between, to accommodate all of the hotel’s five-star needs. With plenty of originally decorated common rooms (la Biblioteca, la Sala and the Lounge) to work, read and relax, Hotel B is set up for whatever reason you’ve decided to pay Lima, Peru, a visit."

The beauty of Hotel B's style is that it doesn't fall into one category. There's a hint of Parisian chic in the sitting area, some contemporary colonial in the bedroom and straight up modern in the bathrooms.
The mix makes the space feel stylish but homey--just the way we like our hotels to feel on our travels. There's nothing worse than coming home after a long day of sightseeing to a place that doesn't feel like you can truly live in it.

The hotel also features some super-cool art, thanks to being well-connected to the neighborhood art scene. In fact, Hotel B provides guests with private access to the neighboring Lucida de la Puente Gallery, often organizing special events and showings.
