Our team has been designing a new collection behind the scenes for months, and I am so thrilled it is finally live. Kathy Kuo Home’s first-ever custom cabinetry collection, in collaboration with Unique Kitchens & Baths, has been a true passion project brought to life. From mood boards and technical drawings to color selections and late-night design conversations, I could not be prouder of what we have created together. A Love Letter to Old-World Europe

The earliest seeds of this collection were planted on my travels through Europe, where I have always been captivated by the historic buildings and architectural millwork. The worn-in elegance of an antique door, the quiet rhythm of a centuries-old window pane, the gentle imperfection of details that have weathered hundreds of years gracefully. Those classical silhouettes became the foundation for everything we designed.

I started, as I often do, by gathering bits and pieces of inspiration and sharing them with our design team and product developer. From there, it became a true hand-in-hand collaboration with the craftspeople at Unique Kitchens & Baths. Over four months of revisions, we refined every idea until we landed on six designs I genuinely adore, curated in our core color palette of five paint colors and two rich wood stains. If you have a different color in mind, UK&B will customize cabinetry in any paint color of your choosing!

6 Custom Cabinets, Each Designed with Their Own Personality

The six cabinet styles are made to mix and match, an approach that echoes the layered, storied interiors we design at Kathy Kuo Studio. One of my favorite combinations pairs Colette on the lower cabinets with Margot above, ideally lit from within so the cutout glows softly through the door.

Bristol

Bristol anchors the collection with quiet confidence, and she happens to be my personal favorite of our designs! Subtly chamfered edges and carved corners give it just enough character to feel collected, while the silhouette stays clean and architectural, an instant classic that flatters nearly any palette.

Colette

Colette is a study in graceful geometry. The softly curved corners and gently chamfered edges feel borrowed from an antique armoire, lending old-world warmth to even the most modern footprint.

Elodie

Elodie is for the detail lovers. This cabinet was inspired by a doorway I came across that had hand-carved beading along each edge. Its delicately beaded frame is the kind of finishing touch that makes it feel genuinely special.

Hadley

Hadley is the most quietly architectural of our designs. Its refined inset frame and crisp, chamfered edges feel timeless across every finish in our palette, bringing the depth and understated luxury of a well-loved library into the kitchen or bath.

Margot

Margot is, without question, our showstopper. The signature cutout at the top of the door is a nod to historic European glasswork, and when paired with an interior light, it casts the loveliest glow.

Sutton

Clean lines form this classic design, accented with a slender contrast trim for just the right touch of visual interest. Understated and elegant, this silhouette is especially gorgeous in our deep Purple Brown.

A truly beautiful kitchen is also a kitchen that works hard for you, and Unique Kitchens & Baths builds customization into every piece they make. Each cabinet design can be tailored around your daily routines and the realities of your home. Think custom interior shelving sized to your favorite serving pieces, drawer organization built around your everyday flatware and utensils, hidden pocket doors that let an appliance garage or coffee bar disappear when not in use, pull-out pantries, spice racks, integrated trash and recycling, or specialty inserts for essentials like baking sheets and cutting boards. Even though these details are relatively small in size, they make such a difference in the overall design of a space, and I am obsessed with getting them just right.
